Max Gittings - Music Educator
During a thriving career in instrumental teaching going back over twenty years Max has always placed great emphasis on musical enjoyment and enrichment for his pupils whilst encouraging steady technical and musical development, in whatever genre or style of music they wish to play.
His main teaching instruments are the Flute, the Recorder and the Whistle, but he can also give instruction in and workshops on many of the other Global Woodwind instruments that form part of his musical expertise.

Based around his home in the West Midlands Max's teaching practice takes in work for schools, music services, workshop providers and private tuition, in person and online.
Max is fully equipped for high quality audio and visual remote teaching and has an up to date DRB certificate.
Currently he teaches the Flute at King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham, and
delivers private lessons on the Flute and bespoke classes on the Low Whistle and other
Folk-instruments in person and online (including for musicteachers.co.uk)
and helps organise and run 'Birmingham Folk' who provide regular workshops and sessions for folk music enthusiasts of all ages across South Birmingham and at Moseley Folk Festival.
